| Minimum Requirements for Admission |

1 a. For Post Graduate Diploma Courses- |
Candidates who have taken their first degree in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering or Medicine etc. are eligible to apply, provided they have secured 50 percent or more marks in aggregate in their first degree examination of a Course which is of three or more years’ duration after the 10+2 Examination. |
| 1 b. For Diploma courses- |
Applicants who have secured 50% or more marks at 10+2 level are eligible. |

2 . Candidates whose result of the qualifying examinations has not been announced at the time of making the application for admission would be allowed to appear purely provisionally in case they are admitted, they shall be required to produce their final results to determine the eligibility latest by the last date of completing the admission.
Note : It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure his/her eligibility before applying for admission. No claim whatsoever of any sort in this matter shall be entertained. |

3. Candidates must apply on the prescribed form which is attached with this prospectus.

4. A large number of entries in the admission form are intended to elicit, in as much detail as possible, of a candidate’s talent and aptitude in communication whether it be in written, oral or audio-visual communication, performing or visual arts. Candidates are therefore advised to fill the form with care and provide supporting evidence in their portfolio as annexure to their application.

5. The candidates should provide evidence of their participation in activities related to Mass Communication during their college career such as debating, articles innews paper, periodicals or College magazines, music, dance, theatre, painting, photography, social service and social work, etc. Submission of a Portfolio as evidence of their activities is an important requirement. |

6. Those candidates who would be submitting photographs as evidence of media related activity may note that they should not append more than twelve photographs or slides. Written matter should have been preferably published in college magazines, newspaper, journals, etc. All the evidence of media related activities must be duly certified by the Head of the Institution or of a faculty member under whom the candidate has studied. The portfolio should be properly organised in order to facilitate easy perusal. Only certificates of video and audio works should be submitted but no video tapes or audio tapes are to be submitted with the application. The candidate should bring these at the time of interview for consideration. |
