The College counsels students on placement and assists them by arranging on- and off-campus interviews. Placement brochures, with endorsements from major media employers, are sent out widely to media organisations. IIJMC graduates are currently working in news organizations throughout India. Our media employers include The Times of India, The Indian Express, The Indian Express, Prabhat Khabar, The Asian Age, Telegraph, The Hindustan Times, Frontline, Digit, UNI, NDTV, CNBC, Aaj Tak, Headlines Today, Star News, Sun News, ANI, Reuters, ETV, Miditech, Vijay Times, Jeevan TV, India, Sadhna TV, Sahara Samay, Azad News, Zee News.

Students are expected to be upbeat at every stage of researching and generating appropriate offers. We have a Placements Office who will assist and support you in developing contacts, provide listings of previous placement companies & post notices of incoming opportunities. There will be a placement workshop when final year students will tell you of their experiences, and there will be opportunities for CV and interview technique workshops.

A placement should be a highly rewarding experience for both the student and the employing company and we do our best to ensure that everyone involved feels that they have got the most that they can from the experience.
